BRIDGE OVER THE SEA

The Bridge over the Sea is a long bridge offering a cycling and a walking path. It has been created by the architect Walter Pichler on the 8th December 2009.

It is a civil contruction which combines practicality with tourism appeal. It links both the shores of Pescara's river and it creates a connection between people, too.

The new Pescara bridge is 440 metres long for cyclists and 465 metres long for walkers. Lights are turned on in the night and the central pylon changes colour.

It is really worth visiting the city and walking on the bridge to experience a wonderful view on the shores, on the city and on the two famous regional mountains on the background, Gran Sasso and Majella.
